Having a good relationship with the members at Lenoir Golf Club is really one of the most important and rewarding duties an employee can carry out. Achieving successful relationships is the result of mutual respect and communications between the members and employees. Authority can be assigned, but respect must be earned. Employees have been asked to make a conscious commitment to members in the following ways: O Call members by their name. O Treat members with respect and honor. O Never embarrass a member in front of others. O Clearly ask a member what needs to be done. O Do not ask a member to do something you would not do yourself. O Be dependable, honest, reliable, and consistent when dealing with everyone. O Do not play favorites; groups or individuals. O Be a better listener than a talker. O Leave home at home and work at work. O Always stay professional at Lenoir Golf Club, even away. O Lead by example. O The best ideas sometimes come from members.
On Sunday, March 16th, the membership voted on the tabled By-Law changes proposed at the Annual Meeting. The voting quorum overwhelming voted to adopt the following By-Law change: These By-Laws and the Articles of Incorporation may be amended by the affirmative vote of a two thirds majority of the members of the Board of Directors and by two thirds majority of fifteen percent or more of the general membership. |
